Aims. Transcriptome covers the full set of RNA transcripts a cell or organism produces, and what that reveals about gene expression, regulation, and cellular state — with an emphasis on methods and applications across biology and medicine.

Scope. The journal covers:

• Bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing methods and analysis
• Alternative splicing and isoform diversity
• Non-coding RNA (lncRNA, miRNA, circRNA) function and regulation
• Spatial transcriptomics
• Transcriptomic biomarkers in disease (cancer, neurodegeneration, immune disorders)

• Transcriptome dynamics in development and differentiation
• Computational methods for transcriptome assembly and differential expression analysis
