Aims and Scope — Genomica

Aims. Genomica is built around the shift in genomics from sequencing infrastructure (now largely routine) toward function, regulation, and clinical translation. We prioritize work that explains what a sequence does, or what happens when it's changed, over descriptive sequencing reports alone.

Scope. The journal covers:

• Comparative and evolutionary genomics
• Functional genomics and gene regulatory networks
• Structural variation and genome architecture
• Clinical and medical genomics (rare disease, cancer genomics, pharmacogenomics)
• Epigenomics and chromatin biology
• Agricultural and plant genomics
• Population genomics and genome-wide association studies (GWAS)
• CRISPR and genome editing methods and applications
• Computational genomics, bioinformatics pipelines, and long-read sequencing methods

Article types. Original research, computational methods papers, and critical reviews.

Audience. Genomicists, bioinformaticians, clinical geneticists, and molecular biologists.
