Aims. Bioethics exists to give researchers, clinicians, philosophers, and policymakers a rigorous venue to work through the ethical dilemmas that modern science produces faster than society can resolve them. We prioritize scholarship that engages with real clinical, legal, or policy contexts over purely abstract debate, and work that takes a defensible position rather than only surveying existing views.
Scope. The journal covers:
- Clinical ethics and end-of-life decision-making
- Genetic and reproductive technologies
- Ethics of emerging biotechnologies (gene editing, synthetic biology, neurotechnology)
- AI and machine learning in medical diagnosis and treatment
- Public health ethics and pandemic policy
- Research ethics, informed consent, and human subjects protection
- Global health equity and resource allocation
- Philosophical foundations of bioethics (utilitarian, deontological, virtue-based, and other frameworks)
Article types. Original research, critical commentary, case-based ethical analysis, and systematic reviews.
Audience. Bioethicists, clinicians, healthcare policymakers, philosophers, legal scholars, and graduate researchers working at the intersection of medicine and ethics.
